Diflucan is an effective drug that is used for treating fungal infections of the vagina, throat, urinary tract and infections of other parts. The drug is also given to people who have undergone bone marrow transplants for guarding against candidiasis.
How to take Diflucan
Diflucan medicine can be taken in empty somach and also with food. But take care that you follow the doctors direction while using Diflucan medicines. Never use more than what has been perescribed. You should note that Diflucan should not be used for a longer period unless your doctor has advised.
Another thing that has to be kept in mind while using Diflucan is that you should not stop the medication in the middle. This is not a good practise as it can only decrease the possibilities of an early recovery. Morover, there is a chance for the infections to relapse if the drug is stopped.
In case of missed dose
If you have missed any dosage of Diflucan, you can have the drug as soon as you have relaised that. But remember not to use the missed dose if it is almost time for you next dosage. Never mix two doses of Diflucan as it can complicate matters.

What to discuss with the doctor
When you approach the doctor for your fungal infections, you have to discuss all your health conditions, both the present and past problems. Warnings
Diflucan is not prescribed if you are sensitive to its ingredients. As Diflucan can interact with other medicines, it is better to discuss with the doctor about all the medicines that you are using. The drug should not be combined with clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, sertaconazole, sulconazole, terconazole, tioconazole and voriconazole.
Diflucan is not prescribed if you are using any Heartburn medicines as it can lead to many problems.
Side effects
Persons using Diflucan medicine can come across alergic reactions and also certain side effects. Some of the allergic reactions that are traced with Diflucan include hives, breathing difficulty and swelling (face, tongue, lips, throat). In case you notice any of these allergies, contact the doctor at once.
The serious Diflucan side effects include nausea, low fever, stomach pain, appetite loss, dark urine, jaundice, clay-colored stools, chills, body pain, flu, severe blistering, rash, peeling, easy bruising, unusual weakness and seizure.
The less serious side effects include: vomiting, mild nausea, diarrhea, headache, unpleasant taste, dizziness and skin rashes.
